I am looking for 1 roommate to take over the lease of my current roommate. This a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment that was originally a 2 bedroom, but was converted. That's why the rent is so low). Here are the apartment details:
Room: $1,005 ($1,207 per month for year w/2 months free at end of lease) for private room with shared bathroom
Security: $1,207
Move in date: February 1, 2021
Move out date: January 31, 2022
Common area: will be furnished with a couch, coffee table, and two bar stools
Utilities: heat, water, and gas provided. We split cable/internet and electricity.
Amenities: washer and dryer in apartment, dishwasher, doorman, exercise room, pool, rooftop with great views of Manhattan, parking garage/bike storage a few doors down
Transportation: close to the B, Q, R at Dekalb; 2, 3 at Hoyt St.; A, C, F at Jay St; 5 minute drive to LIRR Atlantic Terminal
Entertainment/Food: close to Brooklyn Bridge, Fulton Mall, Trader Joe's, Dekalb Market Hall, Barclay's Center, Alamo Drafthouse
The only downside is that this building is by a police precinct, firehouse and a BQE exit (you'll get used to the noise quickly).
Description of roommates: As for me, I am a female professional in my mid 30s. I work primarily from home. In terms of personality, I am pretty open minded and tolerant of others' differences. I am cleanish (if you are OCD clean, you should not reply). I'd also like for you to be responsible (pay your rent on time and adhere to cleaning schedule), be respectful, and know how to communicate.
The other roommate will be new and is a male in his late 20s who will be attending grad school.
Looking forward to connecting!
