Fully furnished full-floor apartment conveniently located in Manhattan's Upper East Side Historic District (Lenox Hill) on east 62nd Street between Park and Lexington Avenue. Though in close proximity to East Midtown Manhattan, East 62nd Street is a quiet side street. The house is surrounded by upscale restaurants, shopping and transportation.

The house is located one block from the 61st Street & Lexington train stop and 2 blocks from the 60th street/Lexington Avenue train stop (Bloomingdales). Central Park is two blocks away. The central and convenient neighborhood offers every possible amenity and convenience (shoe repairs, pharmacies, hair and nail salons, food shopping, etc.). Bloomingdales is two blocks away. This is the most convenient Upper East Side location, close to everything. Traveling out of the City is incredibly convenient from the house. The 59th Street Bridge is a few blocks from the house. There is an FDR exit on 63rd and York Avenue. There are several subway train lines 1 and 2 blocks away.

The butler’s pantry is fully equipped with open shelving, a refrigerator/freezer, microwave and toaster oven, sink, electric coffeemaker, and kettle. Dishes are provided. Adjacent to the kitchenette is a round marble bistro table and chair set.

The Parlor’s en-suite bathroom is simple and clutter-free. A pedestal sink accompanies a full-size en-suite bathtub with shower.

The generously sized apartment-style suites are housed within a 5-story classic 1870's era brownstone on an inviting residential street. The historic turn-of-the-century brownstone townhouse brings style and quaintness to the busy city. Views of beautiful East 62nd Street Mansions or serene garden views. The wonderful stylized apartments of the townhouse offer antique furniture, hardwood floors, beautiful beds, en suite private bathrooms, as well as high ceilings, marble fireplace mantels and modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs and complimentary Wi-Fi. Some rooms offer a kitchen or kitchenette and separate dining areas. Set on a tree-lined street, the beautiful brownstone building is situated in the much sought after LENOX HILL neighborhood of the Historic Upper East Side section of Manhattan and a 5-minute walk to CENTRAL PARK. Bloomingdales & Barneys New York (Madison Avenue) are within a couple of blocks away. Yet, the house is only three blocks from bustling Midtown Manhattan and some of the City's fabulous and world renown Museums & galleries including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Met Breuer, MoMA and the Frick Museum. Carnegie Hall is 9 minutes away by Taxi or an 18 minute walk. Among subway lines near the house are the 4, 5, 6, F, R & N and the new Q extension just 1 and 2 blocks from the house. Located at the southernmost end of the Upper East Side, the brownstone is nestled among stylish brownstones and stately townhouses on a beautiful tree-lined residential block. Flanked by prestigious Park and Lexington Avenues, the house is set amid Manhattan's most elegant neighborhood on the Upper East Side and is just a stroll away from Central Park and Times Square. The brownstone is at the epicenter of a chic and bustling neighborhood, many of the Upper East Side's finest restaurants are in close proximity, as are Madison Avenue's chic boutiques and stylish cafes. Neighborhood antique shops, galleries, specialty stores and world-renowned museums are within easy walking distance. We regret we cannot accommodate pets. Apartment accessible via main staircase. There is no elevator. Building not handicap accessible.

Other info

-1x per month cleaning including linen service. If you are staying multiple months, the cleaning fee is a repeating monthly fee. If your stay is for 30 days, the cleaning fee will also be your exit cleaning fee. Guests are expected to maintain the premises on a regular ongoing basis during their stay including all appliances, bathroom and kitchen equipment and furniture. Guest are required to to remove trash & recycling as needed and bring it to the garbage cans in the front area of the house. The cleaning fee assumes guest has maintained the premises throughout their stay.
-Exit Cleaning Fee. If you are staying more than 30 days, you will be charged an exit cleaning fee in addition to the monthly cleaning fee.
-Linens/Towels. Bedding includes sheet sets, cotton blanket, down blanket and duvet cover, mattress pad, pillows and pillow cases. The bedding cost is a 1x fee and is included with your first month.
-Utilities fee including heat, hot water, gas, electric and wi-fi. Partial months are pro-rated (supplemental fee)
-Air Conditioning (a/c is optional in the months of June & October). If you are booking this room for either of these months, please be sure to let us know if you would like to have a/c or not.
-The least expensive base rate is applicable for single occupancy. We have a monthly second Occupant Fee or a fee for Overnight Guests.

NEW YORK OCCUPANCY TAX (for stays under 180 days):
-Short-term rentals in New York City are subject to the below listed taxes.
-New York City Hotel Occupancy Tax: 5.875%
-NY City Hotel Tax: $2/room/night
-For tax purposes, this suite is comprised of two rooms (the main room and the kitchenette)
-If tax is not showing with the pricing you see on airbnb, it will be billed separately through the airbnb resolution center after you book.
-No tax is due from guests who are considered to be permanent residents. To be considered a permanent resident of New York State, a guest must stay for at least 180 consecutive days without interruption.

To be exempt from all taxes, the occupant must have a signed lease agreement with the term exceeding 179 consecutive days. If the occupant does not complete 180 days of continuous occupancy, any taxes not previously collected become immediately due and payable. We will collect the occupancy tax and credit it back to you once you have exceeded 179 days occupancy.
