Our one bedroom apartment is situated on the border between Astoria and Long Island City - just a couple of stops from Midtown Manhattan, steps to subway, grocery stores, movie theater and bars/restaurants.
it is on the first floor of a lovely, well-maintained building.
Kitchen - we have a small eat-in kitchen that we built a coffee bar on one side, and a foldable working table on the other. Tons of shelf space and large window that keeps it cool in the summer.
Bathroom includes a bath tub.
Large living room - we do not have that now, but the previous tenant was able to fit in a sectional couch in there.
Bedroom - tons of light, full-wall closets (3);
The apartment is very warm in the winter, which for NYC is a plus :-) Since it is on the first floor, it stays relatively cool in the sprint and fall months, but you will need ACs for the peak of the summer. Therefore we have ACs in both the the living room and the bedroom, as well as a ceiling fan in the kitchen.
Purchasing a Home
I am interested in having this place rented as quick as possible, so I would lower rent to $1650 per month for the renter that books it until the end of the lease, which is 4/31/2021. Tenants that would like the place unfurnished preferred, however as I am moving cross country, I am happy to leave quite a few rather big furniture pieces behind such as couch, bed frame, desk, dresser, etc.
One- month security deposit required. Utilities such as electricity, internet, etc is not included in the monthly rent.
Would love to do a credit check for my landlords's sake.
The landlords are a lovely Polish family that are super helpful and responsive when something goes wrong in the apartment.
I would like to find a nice person to take care of it as I have loved living in it for the past 7 years.
The building is unfortunately not pet friendly as far as I know.
Since we are moving cross country there are quite a bit of furniture we will leave behind/give away/sell, so if interested we can talk further on that.
The rent will increase once the lease is over as I have been there for about 7 years, so the price is below market price for this area. However, as I said the landlords are lovely and if they like the tenant they may be able to negotiate.
