Property Details

I'm subletting the street-facing bedroom in my large, bright 2BR apartment on tree-lined residential street in Prospect Heights. The room is available from December 1, 2022 to December 1, 2023 for $1500/month plus utilities.

ABOUT THE ROOM:
- Room has closet and window. Gets good light.
- Large enough to fit a full-sized bed plus a dresser and small desk or two dressers as pictured (bedroom will not come furnished)

ABOUT THE APARTMENT:
- 3rd floor walk-up in medium-sized pre-war building on beautiful residential street
- Huge shared living space (fully furnished)
- Recently-updated kitchen
- Bedrooms are on opposite ends of the apartment
- Additional storage space in living room and bathroom
- Responsive management company
- Respectful neighbors

ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
- The apartment sits on a residential street in Prospect Heights between Vanderbilt and Flatbush Aves. It’s a short (~2 min) walk to tons of restaurants, cafes, and shops on Vanderbilt and a hop skip, and a jump to 7th and 5th Aves in Park Slope. Only a 10-minute walk to beautiful Prospect Park.
- Closest subways are the BQ at 7th Ave and the 23 at Grand Army Plaza. It’s a 15 minute walk to the 45 DNR at Atlantic Ave and the C and G in Fort Greene.

ABOUT ME: (30, Pronouns: she/her)
I've lived in this apartment for a year and in the neighborhood for 7 years. I love living in Brooklyn and frequently spend my free time outside of the apartment. During the week, I work from home so I keep the apartment quiet from 9-5. I use the common space to cook or occasionally watch TV on the projector in the living room, but I rarely host gatherings at the apartment. It is really important to me that the space remains a quiet and peaceful retreat from the city. I’m looking for a roommate who also values a calm/quiet living environment (doesn’t bring the party home), someone who is easygoing and respectful (keeps things clean, shares basic responsibilities, doesn’t monopolize the space) and has experience living in shared spaces.

Reasons for leaving

Only one of the two rooms is being rented out. You will be living with and subletting from the current tenant.

Additional fee

- 2 pay stubs
- sublease agreement
- first month's rent ($1500) and $1500 security deposit paid before moving in

Other info

The shared spaces in the apartment are fully furnished but the bedroom for sublet will not come furnished.
