Gorgeous and rare updated pre-war building on a quiet street in Crown Heights a 10 minute walk to either the ACE and 123, 10 minute bike to Prospect Park and 4 minute walk to incredible bars and restaurants, all while in a quiet neighborhood with long-time residents.

The building is a gem, with only six apartments. The super is not live-in but active, and the property owners live outside of New York. The building was somewhat updated a few years ago and well maintained. Coin-laundry in the basement and an outdoor storage space for bicycles behind a locked door. Intercom rings to your phone for remote access.

The space is huge for the price with high ceilings and tall windows, and an oversized one-bedroom that fits a full-office comfortably along with queen bed, dresser and side-tables. An original woodwork and tile fireplace is the New York character you dream about, and full range gas oven, dishwasher and full-sized fridge ensure you have all the updates you need. You'll benefit from newly installed storage in the bathroom and floor to ceiling closet space in the bedroom.

It is a second floor north-facing walk-up which makes the apartment feel perched with trees outside but well out-of-eyeline of any street traffic. I'm not a fan of noise and sleep wonderfully. The neighbors are quiet and kind. Two nearly brand-new air conditioners are installed professionally, but even in the summer I'd only run them at night since the space keeps cool well.

Plenty of street parking if you have a car, subject to normal NYC street sweeping. Neighborhood is safe.
